Key Responsibilities

Role and Responsibilities

We’d love to have you join our team as a Cook. You will work closely alongside our dedicated Chefs and Cooks, whilst maintaining the highest level of safety and customer service.

  • Selection of correct food ingredients and storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.
  • Preparing main dish Oriental / Western
  • Inspecting food items to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Monitoring and adjusting the temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking appliances
  • Preparing Salads and Soups
  • Preparing Sauces
  • Preparation of Chicken / meat dishes
  • Helps maintain high food quality by inspecting ingredients, overseeing food preparation, handling, cooking, and storage methods, and offering recommendations to enhance food quality, operational practices, processes, and hygiene standards.
  • Preparation of dishes upon request and for special dietary
  • Professional dish presentation.
  • Assisting with menu preparation for Percy Plunkett
  • Maintaining the kitchen area clean and tidy
  • Developing menus, calculating food and labour expenses, and arranging the purchase of food supplies
  • Maintaining cooking tools clean and ready for use.
  • Professional teamwork

Skill & Experience

To be successful, you must have:

  • A Certificate IV in Commercial Cooking or relevant certification (Not less than certificate IV)
  • At least two years of work experience
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with a team, work weekends and attend after-hours calls is highly regarded.
  • You will be required to have customer service skills, detailed knowledge and practical experience of kitchen maintenance, and working under pressure while meeting deadlines.
