Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and evaluate educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Develop a lifelong love of learning through child-led enquiries, connections to local primary school and positive experiences within the community.
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language development.
  • Evaluate educational programs allowing for the unique and individual interests and strengths of each child.
  • Observe, assess and document each children’s learning and developmental progress.
  • Build strong partnerships with families to share insights and gain an understanding of each child’s unique background.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes children’s wellbeing and participation.
  • Support children’s individual learning needs and encourage their independence and confidence.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Child Safe Standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to educators and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Motivate, mentor and lead a team of educators within the learning environment.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field recognised for Early Childhood Teaching in Australia.
  • Minimum one year of relevant post-qualification experience as an Early Childhood Teacher (preferred).
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant legislation.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Comply with the centres policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation & regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a kindergarten program and mentor educators.
  • Experience using digital platforms for observations, assessments and family communications.
  • Experience in creating and implementing engaging educational programs is essential.
  • Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs.
  • Strong observation, assessment and documentation skills.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates (or ability to obtain).
