Key Responsibilities

 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Develop and manage production schedules, manufacturing plans, and engineering workflows to ensure project milestones, operational requirements, and delivery deadlines are achieved.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, design, and quality teams to support efficient manufacturing operations and implementation of engineering systems and technologies.
  • Analyse and improve manufacturing processes, production methods, and operational systems to optimise efficiency, productivity, and product performance.
  • Apply continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve process reliability, and enhance production outcomes.
  • Conduct technical reviews, inspections, and process evaluations to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and Australian Standards.
  • Monitor production performance and prepare technical and operational reports relating to manufacturing efficiency, engineering progress, quality outcomes, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to assess technical requirements and support successful implementation of manufacturing solutions.
  • Investigate manufacturing, mechanical, and process-related issues, undertake root cause analysis, and implement corrective engineering solutions to improve operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and optimisation of engineering technologies, automated manufacturing systems, and production equipment.
  • Review manufacturing data, engineering documentation, and operational processes to identify opportunities for process enhancement and improved engineering outcomes.
  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to production personnel to ensure manufacturing activities are carried out in accordance with engineering and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to evaluate production modifications, tooling improvements, and engineering process changes.
  • Ensure production, engineering, and operational activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements, customer specifications, and relevant Australian Standards.

Skill & Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess:

  • Relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree of qualification
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and SolidWorks).
  • Experience with ERP or job management systems (e.g., Simpro).
  • Proven ability to analyse and improve manufacturing processes and engineering systems.
  • Experience in preparing and interpreting technical reports, engineering documentation, and production schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies, mechanical systems, and production equipment.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and implementation of engineering-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance systems, WHS requirements, and Australian Standards compliance.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, production, quality, and management teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related engineering software.
