Job Description

Placed.au is looking for a full-time Solid Plasterer for our client in Glynde, South Australia. This role involves delivering high-quality internal and external plastering finishes across residential, commercial, and multi-storey construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Prepare substrates including blockwork, concrete, blueboard, foam, and masonry surfaces.
  • Apply solid plaster/render systems including base coats, reinforcing, and finish coats.
  • Install beads, trims, expansion joints, and movement joints accurately.
  • Apply various finishes such as smooth set, textured finishes, fine coat, acrylic, cement render, and specialty finishes where required.
  • Read and interpret plans, specifications, and scope of works.
  • Ensure work complies with Australian Standards, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas at all times.
  • Use tools, machinery, and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Identify and report substrate issues, defects, or variations prior to application.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, site managers, and other trades.
  • Meet productivity targets while maintaining a high standard of finish.
  • Adhere to all WHS (Work Health & Safety) requirements and site-specific safety plans.

Skill & Experience

Qualifications / Attributes

  • Must hold a Certificate III in Solid Plastering, or at least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
  • Must possess at least one (1) year of relevant work experience as a Solid Plasterer or in a similar plastering role.
  • Strong understanding of solid plastering systems and materials.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality finishes with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working on residential and commercial construction sites.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management skills and reliability.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must hold a White Card (Construction Induction).
  • Ability to perform manual handling and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work at heights and on scaffolding where required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Salary Range

$75,000 – $90,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
