About the Role
On behalf of our client – a trusted tree‑care specialist known for precise pruning, safe removals, and expert vegetation management – we are seeking a skilled Tree Worker. You will join a team dedicated to maintaining healthy, safe urban landscapes, working across residential and commercial sites. This role offers variety, from detailed tree assessments to high‑level climbing and line clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tree Health & Risk Assessment:Examine individual trees to evaluate structural condition, disease, and potential hazards from falling limbs or whole-tree failure; determine appropriate treatment or removal plans.
  • Species Selection & Site Planning:Advise on optimal species selection for new plantings, considering local soil conditions, growth patterns, and long-term site management objectives.
  • Advanced Climbing & Access:Safely ascend trees using ropes, harnesses, and elevated work platforms (EWPs) to access high limbs and branches for pruning or removal.
  • Pruning & Maintenance:Maintain tree and shrub health by pruning limbs and shaping canopies with chainsaws and handsaws to promote strong structure and aesthetic form.
  • Hazardous Tree Removal:Remove dead, decaying, or structurally unsound trees, including precision felling and stump grinding to restore site safety.
  • Utility Line Clearance:Clear vegetation from overhead electricity and telecommunications lines to prevent outages and fire risks, adhering to strict safety clearances.

Skill & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Tree Worker or Arborist.
  • Valid climbing and EWP certifications.
  • Competency with chainsaws, handsaws, and stump grinding equipment.
  • Knowledge of tree biology, risk assessment, and utility vegetation management.
  • Strong safety focus and physical fitness.
  • Current driver’s license.
